Minutes of PANAS AGM

The formalities of the process are tabulated below:-

The previous year's minutes, and the Chairman and Treasurer's reports had been made available to the membership and were also distributed at the AGM.

Chairman, Jason Taylor, greeted the club members and delivered his report. The year was very successful. Thanks to the runners for turning up each month, and thanks to the race organisers and timekeepers. The club remains strong and healthy (shame about the runners), however, 2004 saw the departure of some club stalwarts which explains the vacancies on the 2004 committee list. During last year we bade farewell to Dick and Sandra Lugtenburg, our spreadsheet keepers, and the majority of our veteran runners, most of whom, surprisingly, represented the faster end of the club's spectrum. Steve Bowman (regular runner, regularly second and over 50) left for Doha. Reidar (another 50++) and Bente Saugstad (our only over-60 runner) left for Norway. Pursued by 'Tim-the-Gym', Bente achieved the target of running under half her age on her last 5km monthly run. But the greatest loss to the club last year has to be Steve Drake. For five years he was the inspirational leader of PANAS, and many of our traditions and routes are Steve's own. He still runs regularly along the dank straaten en wegs of Den Haag, but is the first to admit that it's not quite the same as Panaga.

Steve Cook delivered the Treasurer's report. The Triathlon made a slight profit and the legacy credit of the club remains with us.

The committee elections were held and the outcome detailed above. Recommendations from 'other business' were that a rota system might be adopted for setting the monthly runs. The club's web site, maintained for years by Hans Dols, has moved to

www.panagadivers.com/PANAS

The title might be odd, but the server space was free. The secretary of the club will now maintain the site.

Thanks to all the runners, organisers and timekeepers, and we look forward to an active 2005.
