Lovely cool conditions, an excellent turn-out and consistently better times than the sweltering Triathlon of April. Congratulations to all those who took park and a big vote of thanks to the organising committee and the host of marshals.

I think that running 12 swimmers at the same time was a great idea. It got everybody off before it got too hot.

Congratulations to all, and especially to Kelvin Eden, winner of the Mens's full triathlon. He arrived in Brunei only two weeks ago and had just unpacked his bike on Friday !

Willy MacDonald of the Organising Committee congratulates Kelvin Eden, winner of the men's full triathlon.

Of course there are commiserations. Hans Dols, in a triumph of enthusiasm over cornering, punctured his tyre on an immovable object, Alan Balsdon who swam an extra length of the pool, and Roger McIlroy, who overtook Doug Bell on his bike with such ferocity, that he missed the turn-off back into the Panaga Club !

Roger McIlroy (centre) dismounts and practices the Highland Fling for St. Andrews Night at the same time.

Oh Yes. There is pain without gain;

believe me ! And I'm REALLY looking forward to that Brunei Marathon.

Running by the South China Sea; magic.

It could be the Olympics (right), just the times are different.

Remember, at all times - LOOK COOL !!

Marshalling can be very stressful ...  >>

Such style and elegance (the swimmer I meant) ...

Never again ...

I'd cock that leg a tad higher if I were you ..

Style is everything in cycling; the designer lycra that is ..

Cheered on by a audience of thousands ..

Milliseconds count at this level of competition ..

Sometimes there is pain without gain ..

.. but at the end, it's smiles all round for Jaap-Erik, the Men's Full Winner (athlete), Willie MacDonald (Organiser, ex-athlete) and, of course, without whom the whole shebang would never occur, a representative of the SPONSORS.

Enjoy !!!
